Coconut oil is like the jack-of-all-trades with its wide spectrum of uses and health benefits. For starters, this natural antioxidant containing a high concentration of fatty acids, is proven to benefit hair, skin, digestion, hormones, and the immune system. It is so versatile it can even be used in your home for everyday cooking, beauty and all kinds of home remedies.

Our favorite use of coconut oil is for the skin. Ongoing research shows that it is so much more than a moisturizer! The antibacterial and anti-fungal properties are effective at reducing risk for infection (1). It is also found to have anti-inflammatory properties that help protect the skin (2).

**Quick Tip:** Did you know that coconut oil has a melting point of 76 degrees? All Abby Rose products contain coconut oil, so as we approach the warmer summer months, it is important to store them in a cool place to avoid consistency changes. If your coconut oil products soften, no worries– the effectiveness remains the same!
