How long does it typically take for the Soothe-X 3-Step Regimen to start working?
Everyone’s situation is different, but we recommend using the Soothe-X 3-Step Regimen consistently, as directed, for at least 3-4 weeks.
Can I use Soothe-X products along with other prescribed treatments?
Yes, Soothe-X products can be a great addition to other prescribed treatments. If possible, we would recommend eliminating the use of other Over-the-Counter (OTC) lotions, creams, and soaps while testing out Soothe-X though. Many OTC products contain potentially skin-irritating ingredients, such as preservatives, parabens, sulfates, and alcohol.
What are the advantages of using all three Soothe-X products?
Many OTC moisturizers and soaps contain ingredients that can be both drying and irritating to the skin, such as preservatives, parabens, sulfates, and alcohol. This can create a vicious cycle of trying to soothe and moisturize the skin. By using all three Soothe-X products, you have a complete skin care regimen that is safe, gentle, and effective for those with dry, sensitive skin.
What is the difference between the Soothe-X balm and the oil?
Both the Soothe-X balm and the oil are non-greasy moisturizers, however, the balm is thicker, and therefore, might work better as a “spot treatment” for those extra dry, troubled areas. The face & body oil works well as a gentle, lightweight, “lotion substitute”, for the whole body.
How should I apply the Soothe-X Face & Body Oil?
The oil can be used as a “lotion substitute”. The most effective way to apply the oil is immediately after bathing or showering. Massage the oil into the skin while it is still damp. The wetter the skin is, the more moisturizing it will be.
Are Soothe-X products safe to be used on the whole body?
Absolutely! The Soothe-X products were formulated to be safe for use anywhere externally on the body, including the delicate areas around the eyes and eyelids.
Can Soothe-X products be used on children?
Yes! Soothe-X products are very gentle and safe for all ages. We recommend everyone do a small patch test on the underside of the wrist and wait 24-28 hours to determine if there are any skin sensitivities.
My Soothe-X balm has gotten grainy. Is it still safe to use?
Shea butter, an ingredient in the Soothe-X Balm, has a natural tendency to separate and become grainy over time due to temperature fluctuations. The Soothe-X balm is still perfectly safe to use and just as effective. We are also now using a new, raw shea butter that is softer and less prone to getting grainy.
What should I do if my skin is not improving after 3-4 weeks?
We would first recommend to stop using the Soothe-X balm and/or the oil. Continue using the Soothe-X soap, which contains no herbal ingredients and try the Abby Rose Moisture Lock™ balm as a moisturizer. Moisture Lock contains only three simple ingredients and may be a better choice for those with extra sensitive skin.
